HTC’s latest flagship, the HTC Bolt, certainly is an interesting smartphone to be hitting stores in late-2016. Its exclusivity to Sprint and older Snapdragon 810 processor certainly are peculiar additions at this point in the year, and the rest of its specs make it rather hard to justify its asking price. In addition to the older CPU, the HTC Bolt features a 5.5-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, and a 3,200 mAh battery. The camera setup on the phone offers a 16MP shooter on the rear and an 8MP selfie cam, and USB Type-C is used to charge the device. Those specs on their own are certainly fine, but the asking price of $600 is what has us scratching our heads.

However, if you’re an HTC loyalist are are in the market for a new smartphone, the Bolt could certainly be an enticing option. Unfortunately, as it currently stands, the device is only available in the United States through Sprint. Thankfully, this looks to be changing rather soon.

Taiwan-based tech news site Sogi recently showed off a press invitation that they received to an HTC event that is taking place on November 22nd in their country. The invitation doesn’t highlight any specific devices, but judging by recent rumors we’ve been hearing, this is likely going to be the announcement event for the HTC 10 evo. The HTC 10 evo is rumored to be the international variant of the HTC Bolt, and the water droplets present on the press invite coincide nicely with the IP57 water-resistance that’s featured on the Bolt.

The HTC 10 evo is expected to feature all of the same specifications that the HTC Bolt has, with the exception of an additional 64GB model in addition to the base 32GB one. Along with launching in Taiwan, we should also see the HTC 10 evo make an appearance in the middle-east, Africa, and Europe
